An anniversary letter written now, opened on a future anniversary

Die kurze Antwort
Write on this anniversary for a later one: where you are now, what you notice in each other, what you’re worried about and hoping for. Schedule it for the morning of your 5th, 10th or 25th. Reading who you were is half the gift.
The best anniversary letters are written years before they are read. They carry a snapshot of a marriage that neither of you will remember in that much detail.
What to write
- Where you live now, what your days look like, what you argue about.
- What you notice in each other.
- A worry and a hope.
- A prediction for the day it arrives.
Try writing two letters, one each, for the same morning. You won’t read each other’s until the day.
How to make sure it arrives on the day
- Write it on Carry Echo. Words are free and unlimited; a plan adds photos placed on the page, voice notes and short video.
- Choose the day and the part of the day. Choose the anniversary and the morning. If you might be apart, read it on their clock.
- Give every address you have for them. The letter goes to each one, so it still arrives if an address has changed.
They need no account and no app. On the day, an email comes from your name with a link, and the letter opens on paper in their browser. Until then you can move the day or take the letter back to your drafts.

What should I write to my husband on our 10-year anniversary?
Write it years early if you can: where you are now, what you notice in him, a worry and a hope. Delivered on the 10th, it is a letter from who you both were.
